Digital Archives Expansion
We’ve just added the Endicott Daily Bulletin newspaper years 1947-1951 to our Digital Archives. Our local newspaper coverage now includes years 1856-1951, along with the fantastic Endicott-Johnson Workers Review magazine and other E-J and U-E publications. It’s a portal in time – Enter the Time Machine!
Digitization Grant Award
Community Foundation for South Central New York – Broome Library Foundation’s Diane Brown and Laura Knochen-Davis present a $1250 award to GFJ Library Director, Ed Dunscombe and Village of Endicott Grantwriter Beth Putrino to digitize local newspapers from the 1930’s, as a part of GFJ’s Digital Archives Project.
Digital Photo Workshop
The PCC is happy to welcome back the Two Rivers Photography Club! On Monday October 22 and 29 they will be leading a workshop on editing digital photos from 9:30- 11:30am. Seating is limited, so please do register ahead for this special opportunity. Stop by the PCC or call (607) 757-5359 to register.
Holiday Closing
The GFJ Library will be closing at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31st and closed on Wednesday, January 1st. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Digital Archives Expanded
GFJ’s Digital Archives has been extended to include The Endicott Daily Bulletin newspaper through June 1940. This extends our newspaper coverage from as early as 1855, in searchable format. Access them via the link on our home page.
