Local historian Tim Main will return to GFJ on Tuesday May 9 at 7 PM to present his program “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.” It’s a scorching review of fires which traumatized the old Village of Union in years past. If you love history be sure not to miss this fun-filled hour of narrative photos….

The library funding proposition will be Proposition Number 4 on this year’s Town of Union ballot. Please remember to vote on November 4. If you’re not registered to vote you can still do so. The Download Zone is coming to GFJ! Beginning Tuesday 1/18, you can download books to your e-reader, mp3 player, phone and more. Check out this announcement from the Four County Library System and come back on Tuesday to take advantage of this great service!

The library is accepting applications for a part-time Library Clerk position.  Some weekend and evening hours, pay is $8.45 an hour, 15-19 hours per week.  The position is temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent.  Applications are available at the library and will be accepted through Saturday, January 28.
