The library funding proposition will be Proposition Number 4 on this year’s Town of Union ballot. Please remember to vote on November 4. If you’re not registered to vote you can still do so. GFJ has started digitizing parts of its collections. We started with old local newspapers, a treasure trove of local history and genealogy. The collection will eventually be expanded, but 1855-1915 issues are now available at: www.endicott.advantage-preservation.com

The New Yorker’s for Better Libraries Political Action Committee has released its 2010 Voter’s Guide. The Guide scores New York State legislators based on how strongly they voted in support of library-friendly legislation. While you’re at their site consider a donation and subscribe to their online newsletter. Strong libraries don’t just happen!
