Summer Reading

New York State funding for public libraries is now as less than 1994 levels.  Please contact your state legislators and ask them to increase funding for our libaries!

Author Anne Crowley will give a talk on her book “The Nightingale Sings” on Saturday, February 11 at 1 PM in the library’s Scott (basement) meeting room.  The book is the compelling true story of one woman’s courage, determination, and triumph over tragedy.

Richard Henry will be teaching a five week course beginning March 27 through May 1 (no class April 3) at the library from 10-12 in the downstairs meeting room. The library is looking for a part-time employee to clean the library.  Duties include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, light snow shoveling.  Fifteen to nineteen hours per week with alternating Saturdays, early morning shifts 6 to 10 AM or 7 to 11 AM.  Pay is $8.50 per hour.  Position is 3-month temporary, possible permanent appointment.  Applications…
