2010 State of America’s Libraries Report

    March 16 is GFJ’s 100th Birthday! Stop-by for a slice of birthday cake and help us celebrate. Historian Tim Main will offer his two-part slide-show history of our library on March 24 and March 31 at 7 P.M. in our Scott basement meeting room. More cake!  

This year’s raffle quilt is on display: “French Romance” by quilt artists Carol Bunnell and Sandy Minehan. Tickets are a dollar apiece or six for five dollars and proceeds go to support children’s programs here at GFJ. The drawing will be held September 11. Other quilts, some for sale, will be on display soon.

The Download Zone is coming to GFJ! Beginning Tuesday 1/18, you can download books to your e-reader, mp3 player, phone and more. Check out this announcement from the Four County Library System and come back on Tuesday to take advantage of this great service!

The George F. Johnson Memorial Library (Endicott) will host a presentation on the New York State of Health Marketplace and Navigator Program on Monday, November 18 from 6:30 till 8:30 P.M. Just a reminder that the library will be closed on Friday, January 25th due to the replacement of our heating and air conditioning system. We plan to reopen at 9:00am on Saturday 1/26. However, please call or check the website before visiting as a delay in construction could prevent our opening on this day.
